Daphne by Damir May
Opus Forgotten Beauty
original charcoal drawing on paper
68 x 48 cm
Daphne was an extremely beautiful naiad nymph, daughter of River-God Peneus.
She was a victim of Cupid’s malice which was induced by Apollo’s scorn.
When one looks at Damir’s work, it is clear that he is the modern day successor to the Florentine tradition. He has emerged as one of the consummate artists of the 21st Century.
